Figures from the Insurance Fraud Bureau indicate that bogus and exaggerated claims cost the insurance industry over £1.6bn each year and are increasing annually. Focused on fraudulent claims, QuestGates' Counter Fraud Division is headed by a dedicated and experienced counter fraud manager and provides both stand alone and integrated solutions. It is also able to provide surveillance services via an equity investment in Quantum Surveillance Ltd.
Developed over many years of identifying and investigating fraudulent claims, particularly in the Motor and Liability arenas, QuestGates' Counter Fraud best practice includes a detailed screening and triage process. While providing for the swift validation and processing of genuine claims, the process escalates any and all potentially fraudulent claims for more detailed examination. This screening continues through the life of the claim, ensuring that potentially fraudulent claims are continually reviewed by dedicated adjusters who have access to a wide range of counter fraud tools including external investigation and surveillance.

Where a claim has been referred for further or more detailed investigation, any concerns are validated and the correct resources are dedicated to manage the claim to its conclusion, in accordance with FSA Regulations.

Utilising an Intelligence Database against which all claims are screened, QuestGates has implemented a system to quickly and fully investigate any claim where adverse issues have been identified, reporting in acceptable timescales and incorporating a full and detailed enquiry into all aspects of the claim, including validation of:
