Ross Macpherson
ACII, FCILA

Originally from an insurance company background, Ross is the main board Director responsible for our Counter Fraud division. He has over 20 years' adjusting experience in technical personal lines and commercial areas and wide experience of client relationship management. Ross is also Technical Director for the Property division, responsible for technical compliance and development.

Well known in the industry for intelligence gathering and successful prosecutions, Tracy Holder joined QuestGates in 2008. Previously head of investigations (Fraud and Policy) at solicitors Hill Dickinson, she started her career with AXA in 1989, where she was regional fraud coordinator before becoming national motor fraud manager at Cunningham Lindsay's special investigations unit.

Steve joined the insurance industry in 1988, initially working for two major motor insurers, before entering the investigation arena in 1993 and progressing to the position of Counter Fraud Manager with Brownswords (now Capita). With more than 15 years' specialist fraud experience, Steve now has operational responsibility for the Motor division where he is Associate Director.

Aaron started his career with Eagle Star in 1993 and has been involved in handling complex and catastrophic claims for many years, including the investigation of multi-faceted motor fraud. Before joining QuestGates, Aaron was with Teceris, the investigations division of Capita (formerly Brownswords). He works alongside QuestGates' Associate Director Steve Thompson.

Christelle has worked in a technical role for both AXA and Allianz Cornhill, and in the latter was involved in training staff at their base in India. She has worked in both commercial and personal lines and now occupies a technical supervisory position, focusing on theft and special investigations.

Greg has almost 25 years' experience in the investigation and handling of complex third party motor claims, having held senior positions at both AXA and RBS Insurance. At AXA, Greg was responsible for the implementation of the Fraud Indication list, prior to it being adopted nationally. Greg specializes in LVI claims and is an experienced member of the Questgates Motor Fraud division.

With over 30 years' experience in the industry, Martyn is a very experienced loss adjuster, with particular experience in the handling of complex claims; he was involved in the coordination of a multiple 'slip & trip' operation which involved over 70 fraudulent claims. This operation resulted in significant savings for the client and the success of the operation ultimately prevented further claims being pursued. He is currently chairman of the Liability special interest group of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters.

With an insurer and adjusting background, Stuart has over 25 years' experience in the industry, the majority of which has focused on the investigation and handling of liability claims across all areas. Stuart has advised insurers on suspicious claims throughout his adjusting career and liaised with law enforcement on appropriate referred cases.

With a career primarily focused on liability claims adjusting, Mark has wide experience of EL, PL and Products claims and is one of QuestGates' senior liability adjusters. He has experience in a number of cases where the evidence he produced provided a successful outcome for the insurers.

Terry has over 20 years experience as a Property loss adjuster. He joined QuestGates in 2009 from GAB Robins and has dealt with a wide range of Complex Domestic, High Net Worth and Commercial claims, both in the UK and abroad, particularly hurricane claims in the Caribbean.

Adrian's adjusting career spans more than 20 years, including several years at senior management level within a large adjusting practice. He has developed counter-fraud investigative techniques, particularly in the handling of fidelity guarantee and complex losses, throughout the range of commercial property claims.

Simon joined QuestGates in 2008 with responsibility for the development of the company's Lloyd's and London market business. With nearly 15 years' experience, he was operations director for Carmichaels, where amongst other things he had a responsibility for fraud screening. Prior to that he worked for McLarens/Teceris, where his adjusting experience included exposure to complex and major losses, coupled with operational and account management.

Main board Director with operational responsibility for the Environmental Claims division. Alan is a highly experienced liability adjuster and is recognised as a niche market professional in the area of environmental claims and related issues on a global basis. He has covered practically every aspect of environmental claims, including chemical, hydrocarbon, microbial and radioactive contamination incidents, both first and third party.

Rupert began his adjusting career in 1979 and has worked exclusively for chartered loss adjusters ever since. Experienced in all lines of business, he has concentrated on liability claims investigation since the mid 1990s. In this role, while handling a multiple claim investigation, he uncovered false personal injury claims targeted against a key client. The successful investigation led to the prevention of future identical claims from that location and very significant savings for the client.

A loss adjuster for nearly 25 years, David has experience in household, commercial and liability claims. He has worked internationally including investigating fidelity guarantee cases when working in southern Africa. In the late 1990s, he became involved in environmental liability and impairment cases. His wide experience in this field has assisted in the investigation of environmental claims, including cases where causation is disputed or the incident predated the policy inception.

Quantum Enquiries & Surveillance

Jonathan Hayes, Managing Director of Quantum Surveillance Ltd

Jonathan has over 15 years' experience in the surveillance industry, beginning his career by working for his father, Stephen Hayes, the innovator of filmed surveillance and founder of Specialised Investigation Services Ltd before its sale in 1998. Jonathan has run Quantum in its present form since 2004 and has responsibility for business development. Quantum is a company of many years' experience and is already acting for various organisations, government bodies and councils in the area of long term sickness, personal injury claims and general associated investigations.
