Martyn Gabbitass
ACII, ACILA

With over 25 years experience in the industry, Martyn is a very experienced practitioner, with particular experience in the handling of complex claims, including PL, EL, Professional Indemnity, Fidelity Guarantee and Products Liability/Recall/Guarantee. He is currently chairman of the Liability special interest group of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters.

Stuart McLean
ACII

With an insurer and adjusting background, Stuart has over 25 years experience in the industry, the majority of which have been focused on the investigation and handling of liability claims across all areas. Stuart is Liability Operations Director.

Kathie joined QuestGates as Service Delivery manager in the last quarter of 2008, the previous seven years having been spent within various sectors of the RBS Insurance Division. She has a background of 20+ years with a variety of insurance products, 14 years of which were focused on client relationships, people management and improvement within the claims processes, in particular home and motor claims within a call centre environment.

Peter joined QuestGates in 2008 after almost 20 years with a major insurance company, firstly as a senior claims negotiator and then as a claims superintendent. He has extensive experience in handling all types of liability claims from cradle to grave, of liability claims process improvement and developing customer relationships.

Mark Purvis

With a career focused on liability claims adjusting, Mark has wide experience of EL, PL and Products claims and is QuestGates’ senior liability adjuster in the north. In addition to being part of the company's large and complex loss capability, Mark also assists the Liability Operations Director.

Rupert Frost
LLB(Hons) ACII, FCILA

An Associate Director, Rupert has extensive experience of PL, EL, Products and Environmental claims and has handled several major incidents. Rupert also has wide experience in account management. He is predominantly responsible for the investigation and handling of Environmental claims but also retains responsibility for investigating complex and major loss liability claims throughout the North West.

Martin Kelly
ACII

Originally from an Insurer background, Martin is QuestGates' senior Liability loss adjuster in Scotland, with over 30 years experience of handling a full range of liability claims.

David Larmour
FCII, CIP

Providing QuestGates clients with a seamless branded resource, David became the company's representative in Ireland in January 2006. He started his insurance career in Belfast in 1974, entering loss adjusting in 1993. Most recently he was a partner with Teceris corporate and complex adjusting, where he had operational responsibility for Northern, Scottish and Ireland Liability business.

Andy Williams

With PI experience at Eagle Star/Zurich, Direct Line and Axa, Andy then joined AON Claims Management as a Claims Inspector on EL and PL claims, where his clients included Tesco, Travis Perkins and Pilkington Glass. He joined QuestGates in 2008 from Cunningham Lindsey, where he was Liability Services Adjuster, broadening his experience to include product liability claims and dealing with sole traders and SMEs.

Paul Ottaway

Having started his insurance career at the end of the 1970s, Paul has 25 years experience of handling EL/PL claims. He joined QuestGates in 2006 from Beachams, after 15 years with Municipal Mutual/Zurich Municipal where his responsibilities included local authority claims.

Having worked for solicitors initially, Carmel began her insurance career in 1986 with Municipal Mutual. Following the acquisition of Municipal Mutual by Zurich in the early 90's, and with over 20 years experience of EL/PL claims, Carmel has dealt with both local authority and commercial claims. She joined QuestGates in 2008.

Philip began his insurance career with Zurich Insurance in Leeds in 1987. He joined AGF in 1991, returning to Zurich Municipal in 1994. With over 20 years experience in dealing with Employers Liability, Public Liability and Motor claims, Philip joined QuestGates in October 2008.

With many years' experience of handling liability claims including Employers, Public/Occupiers and Road Traffic, gained working for legal firms Irwin Mitchell and Lyons Davidson, Gabby has completed the LPC (Legal Practice Course). She joined QuestGates in 2009.
