QuestGates appoints public transport claims specialist

17 June 2021: Specialist loss adjuster QuestGates today announces that Andrew Mayne, a highly regarded transport and railway claims specialist, has joined its growing unit dedicated to handling public transport claims within its Specialist Services Division.

Andrew is a lawyer and claims specialist with over 40 years’ experience and has acted for a large number of train operating companies both in the handling of claims and in matters proceeding to litigation. His experience stretches from working as an in-house claims manager through to leading a specialist litigation team in private legal practice and he was previously at DWF where he was Rail Team Leader in its insurance team.

“Andrew is a well respected professional within the transport claims sector with experience of handling the entire span of claims ranging from slip and trips and subrogated recoveries through to major injury and fatal accidents,” says Glen Donaldson, Divisional Director – Specialist Services at QuestGates. “Since we brought Andy Anderson on board last year to lead and develop this dedicated unit for us, it’s gone from strength to strength with an increasing client base and a full UK and Ireland service offering.“

He continues: “QuestGates has built its reputation on the technical expertise of its people and the high level of service it provides. This is a complex area of claims where sector insight, technical knowledge and client service is vitally important, so as we attract more clients it’s important that we have a team with the highly specialised skills required to deliver on our reputation. We’ve found that in Andrew and I’m delighted to welcome someone of his experience and calibre to on board.”
