QuestGates expands its Irish operation with futher acquisition

Leading specialist loss adjuster, QuestGates, today announces an expansion of its Irish operation following the acquisition of the business of Belfast-based Neill, Simms & Company.

Neill, Simms & Company was established in 1992 and provides loss adjusting services across Ireland, North and South, with a particular focus on the property and construction sectors.

The present team of Barry Neill, Barry Lorimer and Angela Magowan will be integrated into QuestGates’ own Northern Ireland office in Belfast

QuestGates Regional Director for Ireland Glen Donaldson says: “We’ve known Barry for a number of years and have huge respect for the technical expertise he and his team have. They are extremely well regarded within the Irish insurance industry and we are delighted that we can now count them as members of our own team. The skills and knowledge that they bring will be a valuable addition to our growing business and will serve to further strengthen our services to clients and customers throughout both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.”

Whilst QuestGates has undertaken loss adjusting in Ireland particularly in respect of environmental risks for the past 15 years it appointed Glen in February to develop its presence. QuestGates has leased new premises in Belfast, whilst Ryan Wilkinson, Gary Watt and Aaron Pollin have also joined the team enabling the company to now provide a full range of services.

Barry Neill added: “I have greatly enjoyed running my own business for the last 25 years. I am delighted that I find in QuestGates an owner managed ethos with which we can readily identify and which will enable me and my team to broaden our services to our clients around the investigation and handling of their claims.”

This new arrangement comes soon after QuestGates’ acquisition of a majority interest in London-based Hyperion Adjusters Ltd which provides specialist loss adjusting and risk management advice on an international basis for the entertainment, advertising and motor sports industries.
