QuestGates expands team in Scotland

2 December 2020: Specialist loss adjuster and UK and Ireland partner to the vrs Adjusters organisation, QuestGates, has added to its rapidly growing team in Scotland with the appointment of Philip Thomson as Senior Surveyor.

While only 35 years old, Philip has extensive experience of working with the insurance industry and loss adjusting sector, in particular on cases involving property factors in Scotland. He joins QuestGates from a consultancy practice where he specialised in cases for local authorities and the education sector.

Commenting on Philip’s appointment, QuestGates Associate Director and Head of Surveying Services, Dave Clare, says: “Philip is a really exciting appointment for us – he’s young, ambitious, one hundred percent the professional and knows the Scottish market inside out. He’s a real team player and an important addition to our rapidly growing team based out of our Glasgow office.”

Having outgrown its previous premises in Glasgow, QuestGates recently moved into new offices in Bath Street in Glasgow to better accommodate flexible working practices and social distancing for its now 16-strong property, liability, agricultural and environmental adjusting team and supporting claims handlers.

QuestGates Director, Property, Colin Ganson, says: “We’ve invested significant effort in recruiting the right people with the right skills and, more importantly, who understand the particular nuances of the Scottish property market which is quite different to elsewhere in the UK.  It requires a bespoke service and building relationships with all the key stakeholders and adopting a collaborative approach has been the cornerstone of our success.

“We’re ambitious to grow our market share further and believe that market and technical expertise of our Scottish team combined with our market-leading technology solutions provides a compelling proposition for insurers, brokers and their clients in Scotland.”
