QuestGates joins Business in the Community Network

Membership highlights commitment to driving forward business responsibility agenda

22 June 2021: QuestGates is proud to announce that it has joined Business in the Community (BITC) network to support the loss adjuster achieve its commitment to become a carbon neutral company but also to help drive its responsible business agenda.

Created nearly 40 years ago by HRH the Prince of Wales, BITC is the UK’s oldest and largest business-led charity dedicated to responsible business. A core part of BITC membership is the expert advisory service it provides, assigning issue-area experts to work with individual members to design a tailored programme of activity and map their journey against an agreed framework.

Explaining the firm’s decision to join BITC, QuestGates director Greg Laker says: “We put a stake in the ground at the beginning of the year to achieve carbon neutrality by 2027. However, we’re experts in loss adjusting and claims management and recognised that to achieve this goal, we need the support of experts who can guide us along our journey and help us both measure and evidence our performance.

“Having investigated a number of options, what really appealed to us about BITC were its broader capabilities that stretch beyond its expertise in sustainability. Our responsibility agenda is hugely important to our entire business and the support available through BITC can provide further structure and drive to our efforts to help the mental health and wellbeing of our staff, accelerate our diversity and inclusion initiatives, and fresh impetus to our work in our local communities.”

A further benefit of BITC membership, QuestGates employees will also be able to access role-specific training material and expertise and webinars as well as support their local communities through the BITC National Business Response Network.

David Houghton, Head of Membership at Business in the Community, says: “We are delighted to welcome QuestGates to our growing responsible business network. By becoming a member of Business in the Community, they are demonstrating their commitment to sustainability and achieving carbon neutrality, as well as creating jobs that support the mental health and wellbeing of their employees. They will be a welcome voice for change in the coming months as we move toward recovery from the pandemic.”
