QuestGates launches cyber investigation service
Leading specialist loss adjuster QuestGates today announces the launch of a brand new service proposition in respect of cyber risk.
QuestGates has put together a team of experts with extensive experience in the management of first and third party claims in the technology, telecoms, energy and media sectors to assist clients in areas of cyber risk. These range from hacking, virus attacks, phishing and cyber extortion to loss of data or intellectual property, business interruption and third party loss or damage arising from a cyber attack.
QuestGates Director Ross Macpherson comments: “Cybercrime is one of the fastest growing forms of criminal activity in the world and hardly a day goes by where there isn’t news of a cyber attack. Cyber criminals don’t just target big business. In fact both small businesses and high net worth individuals are firmly in the sights of cyber criminals and are a favoured target as they are often woefully unprepared.
“As a result there is an increasing demand for cyber cover, yet the real challenge that faces insurers is having the claims infrastructure to support this complex and dynamic sector of the market. It can be incredibly difficult for example to work out what was stolen, how it was done and to quantify the loss – and, of course the insurer must establish if the incident is in fact covered by the claimant’s cyber policy. That’s where our new service can help. We have brought together a multi-disciplined team of experts who can investigate cause and liability and deliver an expert loss adjusting service.”
This new service from QuestGates is available either as a full stand-alone adjusting offering or as a post-loss investigation service operating in tandem with the client’s own experts and legal team.
