QuestGates Surveying Services team gets thumbs up from RICS
30 November 2018: Specialist loss adjuster, QuestGates, has achieved the highest rating from RICS following its latest Regulatory Review Visit
QuestGates Head of Surveying Services, Dave Clare, said: ‘The outstanding rating awarded by the recent RICS audit of our professional framework and assessment of our impact on claims is testament to the great work being done by the team. We have sought to take simple but effective steps in the way we operate since day one and the audit results demonstrate that our focus on the core surveying principles of time, quality, control and cost is delivering the right results.”
QuestGates established its Surveying Services division in 2016 to offer true added value to large and complex losses. Recent analysis of performance data over the past two years proves that Surveying Services has contributed significantly to improving cost control as well as communication and liaison between all key stakeholders at every stage of building reinstatement. Perhaps the most important outcome has been a noticeable reduction in lifecycle which has a direct impact on indemnity costs and customer satisfaction.
Clare adds: “We aim to become involved in cases as quickly as possible so that we can work with stakeholders to promptly agree appropriate levels and types of damage restoration and mitigation work and to maintain control and pressure at reinstatement phase via robust contract administration.
“This approach coupled with our unique support framework, intelligent IT systems and high quality and scalable workforce achieves lower costs and quicker repair. This benefits both the insurer and customer, who receive the correct level of indemnity settlement and return to their property in the shortest time frame possible.”
QuestGates Managing Director, Chris Hall, concluded: “We see the provision of surveying services as an essential part of any modern day loss adjusting practice to provide insurers and their customers with the appropriate support and resource when large and complex loss occurs.
“Our Surveying Services division has gone from strength to strength and now offers a multi faceted service, which is attracting increasing interest. To meet the growing demand for its services, we are continuing to invest in the team and have recently appointed seven new surveyors – Paul Bevis, Vernon Bundy and Phil Pearce having joined from Stream and Richard Glover from Crawford’s, whilst three others are due to start over the next few weeks.”
