Big win for QuestGates at National Insurance Awards

10 March 2022: QuestGates is hugely proud to announce that its subsidiary Hyperion Adjusters was named the winner of the Loss Adjusting Award at last night’s ninth annual National Insurance Awards which highlight the very best in general insurance provision and management.

Delivering specialist loss adjusting and risk management advice on an international basis for the entertainment, advertising and motor sport industries, Hyperion was recognised for its outstanding work in managing an avalanche of claims in the first global surge event that contingency insurers and their loss adjusting partners had ever faced.

As governments around the world imposed restrictions to slow the spread of the coronavirus, in a period of just eight weeks between March and April 2020, Hyperion’s team received the total number of claims they would on average expect to see in a full year. In the final analysis, over 1100 claims were received by the end of the year.

QuestGates Managing Director, Chris Hall, says: “There is no doubt in my mind that the collaboration between the Hyperion team and London market insurers in providing both a swift admission of liability and interim payments not only enabled insureds to continue trading through the initial months of the pandemic and into 2021, but their positive experience also enhanced the reputation of our industry as a whole.

“Many of the claims in which Hyperion were involved represented a career defining moment for the team in terms of the profile, scale and value of the losses – the Tokyo Organising Committee for the Olympic Games being one. Their hard work, dedication and customer focus never wavered despite the pressures they face and I couldn’t be more proud of them. In my opinion, there isn’t a team to match them in the market and this award is nothing short of the recognition they deserve.”
