Vector is our dedicated team and service proposition – designed, developed and tested not only to enhance claims handling efficiency but also to invest in the next generation of loss adjusting professionals.

What is Vector?

Vector is a flexible claims handling division within QuestGates that complements our core loss adjusting and TPA services. Specifically developed to manage lower complexity property claims (typically under £15,000), Vector uses a combination of remote video and physical site visits depending on the nature of the loss to deliver efficient, accurate and professional outcomes for policyholders and clients. From policy cover validation and fraud detection to recovery consideration and early settlement opportunities, Vector handles all stages of the claim process.

People development programme

QuestGates has grown on the back of delivering great service and investing in our people, ensuring frontline individuals within our business are constantly supported and developed.
The Vector team consists of colleagues from different backgrounds, all of whom have a passion for personal development and career progression. They all aspire to be Loss Adjusters of the future and open doors to various opportunities in a wide and diverse industry. All are working through structured learning programmes gaining hands-on experience on lower complexity claims while being mentored through a mix of experience QuestGates has to offer.

Vector has been built around a commitment to structured talent development. This creates a long-term talent pipeline to feed skilled, competent, well rounded claims professionals into our regional teams across the UK and Ireland as their careers progress.

Supporting a surge

One of Vector’s greatest strengths is its resilience. When our industry faces challenges like weather related surges and caseload increases, we believe service shouldn’t just be maintained, it should be better, for both the policyholder and our end client – and that’s only possible if adjusters are supported with the right assistance.

The additional layer of this scalable resource means our senior adjusters can focus on more complex cases, with the confidence that individuals within Vector are supporting them.

Sustainability

Vector is also part of our broader strategy for sustainability and operational efficiency.
Every claim is reviewed to determine the most appropriate handling method, striking a balance between efficiency, service quality and environmental impact.

Using video technology to assess cases where appropriate not only reduces the time and cost of handling claims, it also helps to reduce our carbon footprint. For many claims, particularly those that are lower in complexity, a video visit can provide all the information needed to progress the case, only backed up by a physical follow up site visit if required.

Liam Linsday
Case study: Liam Linsday – progression to Loss Adjuster

Liam joined QuestGates as part of the Property Concierge team, progressing into the Vector team where he followed a dedicated training and development programme developed by QuestGates, designed to support and build the next generation of loss adjusters.

Through structured learning, practical training sessions and mentorship from experienced professionals, Liam began to build his knowledge of the industry. QuestGates supported Liam through his Cert CILA qualification while he was still in the Concierge team – a key stepping stone that helped him secure a promotion into the Vector programme. As part of Vector, he participated in a wide range of training sessions focused on developing core adjusting skills and gained valuable hands-on experience through shadowing adjusters on site visits and handling less complex claims.
Thanks to the development and guidance he received, Liam is now preparing to take the next step in his career, joining the southern Property team as a Loss Adjuster next month.

“The opportunities I’ve received have allowed me to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence required to start my career as a Loss Adjuster. Speaking from my personal experience, I can wholeheartedly endorse QuestGates as an employer committed to staff development and creating meaningful ongoing career opportunities and I’m very much looking forward to the next stage of my career!” – Liam Linsday
