QuestGates, the UK’s largest owner-managed loss adjusting and claims solutions group, is celebrating after securing recognition in two of the Midlands’ leading business rankings.
Birmingham-headquartered QuestGates has been named in the 2026 Grant Thornton UK Midlands report, which ranks the region’s 200 largest privately owned companies by turnover. The report highlights businesses demonstrating strong financial performance, sustainable growth and a significant contribution to the regional economy.
The group has also been listed in the inaugural Insider Media Midlands 250 ranking, recognising the region’s leading privately owned businesses.
Chris Hall, Founder and Group Executive Chairman of QuestGates said, “We are delighted to be recognised in both of these rankings. This recognition reflects the hard work, expertise and dedication of our people across the business. Since our inception, we have focused on providing specialist claims-related services where technical excellence, innovation and market-leading service levels set us apart. That commitment continues to drive our growth and success today.”
QuestGates has remained headquartered in Birmingham since its formation in 2003. More than two decades later, QuestGates has grown into one of the UK and Ireland’s leading providers of claims solutions, employing over 650 people and generating revenues in excess of £60 million.
The group provides a comprehensive range of claims-related solutions including loss adjusting, claims management, building consultancy and legal services. Earlier this year, Greg Laker was appointed Chief Executive Officer, marking the next stage in the group’s continued development and growth strategy.
Chris Hall, Founder and Group Executive Chairman of QuestGates said, “The Midlands remains an extremely important region for our business and we are proud to continue investing in Birmingham which has developed a strong reputation as a city for entrepreneurial ambition. Our growth has been built on a clear strategy of delivering specialist expertise and outstanding client service rather than competing solely on volume or price. Being recognised alongside so many successful Midlands businesses is a tremendous achievement and reinforces the strength of our model, the people we have recruited and our long term commitment to clients and the communities we serve.”
